Environment Agency - Saltfleet to Gibraltar Point Strategy - Enhancing the Lincolnshire Coast March 2021 – present
Very pleased to be part of the works under the new long-term strategy for the Lincolnshire coastline from Saltfleet to Gibraltar Point. The strategy is adaptable to a changing climate, and which will continue to provide and maintain coastal sea defences with healthy beaches for the enjoyment, wellbeing and prosperity of people visiting, working and living in Lincolnshire.
Providing clear concise communications and engagement alongside public liaison will be vital to the Strategy, as moving to the new approach will be a gradual process over many years whilst information to help with the design process is assembled. During this transition period there is still much to do in engaging the public and stakeholders alike.
Beach management for 2021-2024 will continue to provide great benefit for people, property, land, and the environment by managing the risk of flooding from the sea. This work will include routine maintenance and investigations.

£42m Flood Defence Scheme to improve the safety of the 30km flood storage reservoir dam in Cambridgeshire by strengthening the Middle and South Level Barrier Banks.
Yazmin joined this project from the very start at detailed design and has continued through to construction. This involved identifying and highlighting potential issues and provide ways to mitigate before the construction phase. Close engagement and liaison with major stakeholders. Engagement with residents, local organisations and users of the washes is vital to enable the project to progress successfully. Management of public consultations and local surgeries has been key to keeping a high and positive profile within the community.
