Gareth is a conscientious and self-motivated professional with a wealth of experience in Asset Management and Engineering with over 20 years’ experience in the Flood Risk Management sector.

He has worked within operational teams delivering maintenance, through to being an asset owner, setting strategic objectives on flood risk assets. Managing several million pound maintenance budgets, along with creating long term visions to manage assets and the environment, he has gathered a large understanding of how the natural and built environments need to come together to create a more resillient future to climate change.

This experience has seen him manage capital programmes including fast paced recovery programmes following flooding events and influencing the deisgn at an asset and catchment level from conception through to construction.

His time at the Environment Agency saw him responding to some of the UK's most serious events in the past 20 years including Cumbria in 2015 and Yorkshire in 2019, managing the strategic and tactical responses to flooding which has given him an excellent understanding of how the environment reacts when put under threat and how organisations can prepare to respond.
