Role: Project Director / Project Manager
Details of services provided: The Keadby Terminal Assisted Outfall (TAO) is an Environment Agency Flood Risk Management asset providing flood risk and water level management to the River Torne, Isle of Axholme catchment in Lincolnshire. The asset is 80 years old having been built in the 1930’s for land drainage and water level management. Between 2015 and 2018 Marco and Gary led the delivery of a multi-disciplinary appraisal culminating in an Outline Business Case for the refurbishment of the asset. Our work included the development of both the Outline Business Case for the long term sustainment of Keadby TAO and an interim, short term Capital Maintenance programme Business Case to ensure continued operational resilience whilst the main refurbishment work progressed. Both Business cases were developed in accordance with the HM Treasury, Five Case Business Model, guidance and Defra FCERM appraisal guidance.
The Business Case was awarded “LPRG Best Business Case” award and also received “Highly Commended” under the “Excellence in Asset Management” category in the 2019 Flood and Coast Project Excellence Awards
